Seasonal Cycles The buttons at the left take you to 40 year and 15 year seasonal tendency charts for nearly all of the major futures markets. They are provided by Moore Research, which is solely responsible for their content and design. For additional details, contact MRCI at http://www.mrci.com. Seasonal cycles are used to show historical tendencies, in most cases driven by underlying fundamental developments like crop production or governmental fiscal flows. As counter-cyclical market moves are quite common, the seasonal cycles should not be used as a sole basis for market positions. However, when the market is in harmony with the underlying seasonal tendency, the cycles can be useful in forecasting both the degree of the market move and the highest probability timing. The cycles shown are an implicit part of our Ag Market Professional strategies, and underlie our Price & Probability Forecasts series.
